Jamaica to Host JAPEX Tourism Trade Show in September

Under the theme “Jamaica Reimagined,” the 36th edition of the Jamaica Product Exchange (JAPEX)—the country’s premier tourism marketing and trade event—will take place from September 14 to 18 at the Moon Palace Jamaica resort in Ocho Rios (St. Ann).

According to recent press reports, Jamaica's Minister of Tourism, Edmund Bartlett, confirmed the upcoming event, which is expected to draw industry representatives from over 20 countries, along with major hotel brands operating on the island.

Jointly organized by the Jamaica Tourist Board (JTB) and the Jamaica Hotel and Tourist Association (JHTA), the trade show will feature a packed agenda, including business travel forums, discussions on technological innovation and artificial intelligence, and specialized panels focusing on the sustainable growth of the luxury tourism sector.

During the previous edition in 2025, the event facilitated the signing of trade agreements and business deals valued at approximately 100 million Jamaican dollars, reaffirming the vital importance of the gathering for the Caribbean nation's travel industry.
