Cuba extended its congratulations to the government and people of the Commonwealth of the Bahamas on the occasion of the 52nd anniversary of their independence.

The Cuban Ministry of Foreign Affairs, via its profile on the social network X, reaffirmed the island's commitment to "continue developing relations of friendship and cooperation between both nations."

Cuba and the Commonwealth of the Bahamas have maintained ties in diverse social and scientific areas since 1972. Together, they have worked to defend the just causes of countries in development and confront the injustices of countries that disregard the right to self-determination of peoples.
