It is an exciting time for fashion lovers, as every year the Cuban capital hosts its very own Fashion Week, where one can appreciate the latest designs for seven days.
Last year, Havana’s ‘Alicia Alonso’ Grand Theater, renovated and sporting its best galas, was the perfect setting to hold its Fashion Week, during which 40 catwalk shows were held. The event was attended by many and was also fitted to a smaller scale to welcome daily all those who were interested.
Organized by the Cuban Artist and Artisans Association (ACCA), the Cuban Cultural Goods Fund (FCBC) and the National Plastic Arts Council (CNA), this event exhibited not only apparel designs but also leather goods, saddlery, precious metals and the art of Jardín Angélica.
According to many attendees, this Fashion Week was a unique show of elegance and excellent taste and quality, to the standards of the most demanding of tastes.
