Under the auspices of the Ministry of Tourism (MINTUR), the Directorate of Foreign Trade, and the Cienfuegos regional branch of the Chamber of Commerce of the Republic of Cuba, the business forum "The Pearl of the South: A Destination of Opportunities" will take place next October to showcase tourism investment potential in the Cuban province.
According to a report published by the weekly newsletter Excelencias Cuba, the gathering will allow attendees to explore new commercial prospects. Participation is open to private-sector entrepreneurs interested in tourism, as well as Cuban nationals residing abroad.
Scheduled for October 9 and 10, the event will be hosted at the iconic Palacio de Valle. Constructed in 1917, this striking eclectic-style landmark is located in the Punta Gorda neighborhood, just steps from the bay, and currently houses a restaurant, bar, and event center for meetings and corporate functions.
The official ground operator for the forum will be the Havanatur travel agency. Day one will feature institutional presentations, followed by the unveiling of MINTUR's investment portfolio for Cienfuegos, an exchange on submitted proposals, and a dedicated B2B networking session.
The second and final day of the forum will include guided tours of key commercial locations and points of interest agreed upon during the business rounds.
