With a wide portfolio of products, excellent medical services and new projects, the center &Dr. Carlos Manuel Miyares Cao "(HISPLACEN) celebrates its 35th anniversary this April 25, under the slogan of &We continue to grow ".
The institution arose from the investigations of prominent specialist Dr. Miyares Cao (1939-2015) on the metabolism of placentas kept alive under laboratory conditions and the discovery of a substance with stimulating activity of skin pigmentation.
At the beginning of the 1980s, the national pharmaceutical industry began to produce the new drug: Melagenin, successfully applied in the treatment of dermatological disease known as leukoderma, with recognition since then in patients from other countries.
On April 26, 1986 HISPLACEN was founded, with the aim of expanding these investigations. The center, today a world reference institution, conducts research, produces and markets products derived from the human placenta, as well as natural and biotechnological products, such as medicines, cosmetics and nutrients, without reports of adverse effects, which allows their use in children and adults, including the elderly and pregnant women.
The medical services offered in favor of life quality, specialized in Vitiligo, Psoriasis and Alopecia, reach patients of more than 80 countries, with high effectiveness.
Among the services offered by HISPLACEN, there are consultations and treatments in Psychiatry, Dermatology and Immunology, &Cosmetic Amniotherapy" products, a method for revitalizing the skin in hair, facial and body lines, the BIOPLA Dietary Supplement, a protein-mineral concentrate of multiple applications and postgraduate medical courses in "Placental Histotherapy in Dermatology".
Future plans of the institution include the inauguration of the PLUS International Clinic, with additional services to those currently offered, and 19 research projects, aimed at expanding and renewing the entity's product portfolio.
