Cuba's Event Calendar for the Upcoming Year Unveiled

A total of 276 events are slated to take place in Cuba throughout 2026, marking an increase of 50 events compared to the current year. These will primarily focus on tourism, culture, and health, as announced on Tuesday by Yanet de Armas, Director of this specialized department at the Ministry of Tourism.

Each event organized on the island is an opportunity to showcase our capabilities, our hospitality, and our safety."

She further highlighted Cuba's membership in key international associations, such as the Latin American Federation of Congress and Convention Organizers (COCAL) and the International Congress and Convention Association (ICCA), noting that "this facilitates the flow of knowledge and opportunities for us today."

Despite these advancements, she underscored the need to continue strengthening infrastructure, diversifying thematic offerings, incorporating technological solutions, and embracing sustainability as a cross-cutting value.

During the activity, representatives from the Ministries of Culture, Education, and Science, Technology, and Environment also presented their respective events scheduled for the upcoming year. This underscores the importance that Cuban authorities place on MICE tourism, as the island aspires to become a significant destination for this specialty in the Caribbean.
