Havana Club Energizes the Varadero Gourmet International Festival

Ron de Cuba, as it is known internationally by its aficionados, is a vibrant presence at the 15th edition of the Varadero Gourmet International Festival. The event provides an ideal platform to showcase the rich and varied flavors that this spirit offers to every fortunate palate that experiences it.

Leyva stated that at this fair, they are "demonstrating the versatility and dynamism of Havana Club products with innovations, including Smoky, with its smoky profile; Cuban Spiced, our first spiced spirit for those who prefer more aromatic or spiced notes; and Havana Club Profundo, our first Super Premium aged white rum."

“Also, of course,” she continued, “our foundational rum, Havana Club 7 Años, will be present, showcasing itself in all its splendor.”

Later, she referred to one of the highlights of the event: the "Bar Champions" competition, held during the first afternoon of the fair. This provided an opportunity to showcase the best of Cuban mixology, highlighting Cuba as an international capital of cocktails.

"Here (at the stand), prominent local bartenders, representing various bars, were present, along with Los Pichis, demonstrating evolutions of classic cocktails using products from the Pernod Ricard portfolio such as Jameson, Beefeater, and Olmeca Altos."

Eddis Naranjo, President of the Cuban Bartenders Association, was also present, speaking with invited bartenders who had been awarded in national and international competitions. "It was a way to honor our Cuban cantina tradition," she remarked.

This 15th edition of the Varadero Gourmet International Festival, concluding this Saturday with the participation of more than 30 national and foreign exhibitors, includes product presentations, cocktail and food pairing competitions, as well as presentations on fusion cuisine between Cuba and Latin America, contemporary mixology, and the rich gastronomic regions of the country.
