The International Transport and Logistics Fair was inaugurated this Tuesday with the participation of entrepreneurs, specialists and professionals of the sector from 12 countries.

Speaking at the opening, the Cuban Minister of Transport, Eduardo Rodríguez Dávila, highlighted the importance of this meeting that will make it possible to publicize the country's business offers in the sector, especially for foreign investors.

He also stressed the event will allow the creation of alliances that will favor activity on the island, while pointing out the need to boost finances and strengthen technologies to improve the nation's transportation infrastructure.

The fair, which will take place until next Thursday, will include numerous activities such as conferences and presentations of products related to transport and logistics, as well as a business round, during which the Foreign Investment Project Portfolio of the sector will be presented and a forum for international cooperation on project management within the activity.

A moment that will attract attention at this meeting will undoubtedly be the launching of the new high-level career in Transportation Engineering, of great importance for those who wish to dedicate themselves to this specialty.

Vice Prime Minister, Jorge Luis Perdomo, the Minister of Tourism, Juan Carlos García Granda, the Vice President of the Cuban Chamber of Commerce, Rubén Ramos Arrieta, authorities from the Palco group, Fira Barcelona and representatives of the area also attended the opening day, as well as accredited diplomats in the country.
