July 1, international joke day

Jokes constitute something important in the life of any person because it helps make the days more pleasant and fun, especially now when the world is plagued by one of the greatest pandemics that humanity has ever experienced, the new coronavirus.

Although this date is not commemorated in many countries, as the celebration arose many years ago in the United States and has ancient Greece as a background, thanks to Palamedes, considered a true genius and a mythological character of that ancient culture. It is also known that in ancient Greece there was a club dedicated to comedy where the inhabitants came to share jokes and pleasant moments with family and friends.

Today there are countless jokes in the world that even anyone with a little ingenuity can create. A joke is considered a short story or phrase that sometimes comes up spontaneously and whose simple purpose is to make people laugh.

In Cuba, jokes are everyday stories or phrases and there are thousands of jokes that are transmitted from person to person so that receivers can laugh and forget at least for a few seconds any problem that may afflict him. Cubans are even said to create jokes about their own problems.

Sure, there are jokes and jokes, there are humorous and not so funny jokes, that is, or also the person who tells it does not always make people laugh, but in one way or another a joke is mostly always well received.

In 2001, the British Science Association conducted a study to unveil the funniest joke in the world. British psychologist Richard Wiseman created a project called "The Laughter Laboratory" through which 40 thousand jokes from 70 countries were received.

However, there was no winner, because they concluded that the joke depends on many factors such as the traditions of each country, people, cultural characteristics and language. Nothing, it is concluded that a good joke is something local and sometimes, even people of the same nationality, may not be amused by a joke from their country.

It only remains for us to urge you that today, International Joke Day, tell a joke to a friend or upload it to social networks and thus make the day a little more enjoyable, especially in the current tense situation that the new coronavirus has created for all .
