Two of Cuba's most attractive destinations in the western and central regions were the focus of the second edition of Motivos Cubanacan. The Fam trip involved approximately 80 representatives from travel agencies and tour operators, primarily from Latin America, along with 15 specialized media journalists and 20 commercial specialists from national receptive agencies.
In La Ciénaga de Zapata, participants explored Cubanacan Group's offerings for the 2025-2026 season. A particular highlight for the guests was the Fiesta Campesina farm, a true haven of peace that seamlessly blends nature, the customs of rural Cuban life, and an unparalleled gastronomic experience.
According to Magyory Fernández, Commercial Deputy Director of the Ciénaga de Zapata Complex, the destination boasts four certified diving centers and an extensive network of birdwatching trails within the Bermejas and Salinas wildlife refuges. Other noteworthy attractions include opportunities for observing the region's unique flora and fauna, offering genuine enjoyment of these natural landscapes, particularly for nature enthusiasts.
In Trinidad, participants immersed themselves in the rich culture and traditions of this city, a UNESCO World Heritage site since 1988 and a World Craft City since 2018. The extensive city tour encompassed historical and heritage sites, as well as tourist attractions, including the Valley of the Sugar Mills (Valle de los Ingenios). A point of significant interest was the demonstration of handmade pottery, a craft meticulously passed down through five generations of potters.
The tour will conclude with two more days, featuring visits to historical and cultural sites in Villa Clara, followed by what is sure to be the highlight of the trip: Varadero. There, participants will enjoy the sun and beaches, as it's widely known that "Cuba is an eternal Summer."
