The specialized tobaccos shop La Estrella, in Camaguey city, which should become in the first Cigar House in this province, is next to the opening, with the constructive works already in completion phase.
In conversation with the Cuban News Agency, Marco Rodríguez Hernández, his administrator, explained that the air conditioning unit is already mounting in the facility which will have an area for the exhibition and sale of cigars and their accessories, a humidor room, a bar, an external salon and a private salon or VIP.
The most complexity work which is still pending to materialize is the humidor’s cedar wooden lining, but the store could begin to offers services in other areas shortly, Rodríguez considered, and he added that will also have the consultancy of a cigar sommelier for those who want to consume there.
Assigned to the Santa Maria city’s Tourism Company, the facility it cannot still be considered like Cigar House, until the corporation Habanos SA certify it as such, but it has been worked fulfilling the manufacturing and quality parameters to make it worthy of this category.
Controlled humidity, temperature and scents conditions to guarantee an appropriate cigar bands storage, consumption and union services, facilities for the cigar certification for those clients who take them outside Cuba, among other, are some of the requirements to measure, the administrator emphasized.
