The Cuba Semi-Final of the second edition of the Havana Club Cocktail Maestros global cocktail competition is taking place this Friday, May 25th, at the iconic Havana Club Rum Museum – home to major events for the renowned Cuban spirit.
A total of 20 teams are gathering at this prestigious international cocktail event, reaffirming Cuba as an unparalleled host.
Throughout today's event, contestants will put their skills, creativity, camaraderie, and "Cubanía" to the test, presenting their creations based on the extensive range of products within the Havana Club portfolio and inspired by Cuba's rich cultural tradition.
Three teams will emerge victorious from this semi-final and will advance to the Cuba Final of the competition, to be held next June in Havana.
This important event provides a great opportunity for Cuban mixology, allowing the island to showcase its diversity and richness in this sector. Notably, four of the competing teams feature female bartenders.
The judging panel for this semi-final comprises experienced professionals in the field: Juniel Delgado, Head of Strategic Marketing for Cuba at Havana Club International S.A.; Damián Domínguez, Brand Ambassador for the Cuban market at Havana Club International S.A.; Bárbara Betancourt, President of the Wine Women's Club and award-winning bartender in national and international competitions; and Alejandro Bolívar, bartender from El Floridita, a true institution in the world of mixology.
We wish the contestants the best of luck!
