Second Stage of Fam Motivos Cubanacan Trip Kicks Off

The second stage of the "Fam Motivos Cubanacan" familiarization trip commenced this Monday, bringing together approximately 80 representatives from travel agencies and tour operators, primarily from Latin America. They are joined by 15 specialized media professionals and 20 commercial specialists from national destination management companies (DMCs): Viajes Cubanacan, Ecotur, Cubatur, and Viajes Cuba.

The itinerary, which began this Tuesday, features an extensive program running until the 22nd, encompassing the destinations of Havana, Varadero, Villa Clara, and Trinidad.

On Tuesday, participants will visit the Hotel Costa Sur in Trinidad. Wednesday's agenda includes tours of iconic sites within this beautiful city, a UNESCO World Heritage site since 1988, as well as various properties belonging to the hotel group.

The following day, the group will travel to Villa Clara, exploring historical landmarks there. On Friday, they will proceed to Cuba's premier sun-and-beach destination, the iconic Varadero resort. Here, in addition to touring Cubanacan's facilities, they will enjoy the pristine blue waters of the beach.

Finally, Saturday marks the return to the Cuban capital for the anticipated closing ceremony of this remarkable trip's second stage.

Initially, the program was slated to include visits to Camagüey, Holguín, and Santiago de Cuba provinces. However, due to damage sustained by facilities in eastern Cuba from Hurricane Melissa on October 29th, the route was necessarily redirected to the country's western and central regions.

Despite this adjustment, organizers considered the opportunity to engage with participants highly beneficial, allowing them to further explore all that Cuba has to offer as a tourist destination.

Established 38 years ago, the Cubanacan Hotel Group is one of the country's leading accommodation providers, boasting a total of 117 hotels and over 17,000 rooms across all Cuban destinations.
