Spanish duo Andy and Lucas will perform for the first time in Cuba at the eighth itinerant festival A Bridge to Havana to be held here from April 22-29, organizers confirmed Monday.
According to statements by the event's director and group leader Karamba Jorge L. Robaina, the performance will be an opportunity to boost in Cuba their latest album, New Life, released in April 2018. According to the digital newspaper Granma, the flamenco duo will be accompanied in their concert by the Cuban Nassiry Lugo, creator of the group Moneda Dura, and the band Faramba, host of the meeting. The presentations will cover a large part of the island starting on April 23rd in the centre of Santa Ana in Trinidad and the Costa Sur cabaret in Cienfuegos. Afterwards, it will be held at the Varadero amphitheatre in Matanzas, the El Sauce Centre in Havana and will conclude on Sunday 28 at the Rumayor cabaret in Pinar del Rio. A bridge to Havana was founded 10 years ago in the Spanish city of Zaragoza with the aim of bringing rhythms such as rumba, flamenco, reggae, rock and roll and hip hop to the same space.
