It can be affirmed there is not a Cuban who does not like comedy or humor.The same thing a joke can be heard on the street, on a bus, in the workplace... in short, it is our "daily bread" and, inthe Bertolt Brecht hall in the capital is presented every Thursday night in Havana Stand Up Comedy.
With the performance of numerous comedians, some of them established actors and others new but with great talent, this show has captured the attention of the public, as it gives them a moment of fun and relaxation.
Regarding this, Michel Pentón, who belongs to the Center for the Promotion of Humor, explained to this publication the reception offered by the public to new talents, among them Capitan Diez and San Memero, who began to do comedy through social networks duringthe pandemic and they performed at the Bertolt Brecht with great success.
The show features performances by well-known comedians Otto Ortiz, Rikimbili, el Colorao, as well as actresses Claudia Julia and Lauren Marrero, among others, and, of course, Michel Pentón.
Stand Up Comedy, literally, is a show where the actor and comedian directly addresses the public present in the place, usually in a one-person way, with a text that expresses his vision of the world and maintains an interaction with the audience.
