Línea & Medida More than a Name, a Philosophy

Created seven years ago to continue the legacy of her grandmother and aunts, Línea & Medida has become a brand that holds a distinguished place in the competitive world of fashion. What began as a dream has grown into something with its own “soul and community,” its founder and director, Mirel Fonfria Quesada, told CubaPLUS Magazine.

They always made custom garments for specific occasions, and that is where I grew up, surrounded by that love for tailored, handcrafted fashion, respecting every detail and the time each design requires. That is where the brand’s name comes from, because its essence is rooted in made-to-measure creations.”

“We do not believe in standard sizes. We believe in real women, in unique bodies, and in garments that adapt to you, not the other way around. We design with intention. We create with detail. We make pieces that highlight your best version,” she added.

Speaking further about her work, Fonfria explained: “We offer clothing with purpose, with carefully designed lines that strategically help to shape, enhance, and flatter the body. No two bodies are the same. The garment adapts to every silhouette. It prioritizes comfort and elegance with a timeless, refined, and versatile aesthetic.”

Regarding the reception of her designs, Fonfria revealed that they currently have more than 10,000 followers across their platforms. But beyond the numbers, they have achieved something she considers far more valuable: “Clients who trust us, who come back. People who stay. Every woman who arrives does not just buy a garment… she lives the experience, identifies with it, and becomes part of our family. Because at Línea & Medida, we are not looking for quick sales, we are looking for real connections,” she expressed with emotion.

She also mentioned that their pieces have been presented on numerous runways, including at Fábrica de Arte Cubano and at the Embassy of the Netherlands in Cuba, among other venues.

In addition, they are strengthening their made-to-measure service through personalized client experiences, image consulting, and an exclusive appointment system, while also growing their prêt-à-porter line with small production runs of ten pieces per collection.

They are also working on expanding sales through various platforms such as Shopify and Instagram, and of course through their website, lineaymedidas.com.

At the same time, they are building strategic collaborations with influencers aligned with the brand, as well as photographers, stylists, makeup artists, and especially beauty and accessories brands, all of which will contribute to greater visibility and prestige for the label.

“Línea & Medida does not just create clothing… it creates a community, an experience, and a lifestyle,” Mirel Fonfria concluded.
