The 5th edition of the International Hotel and Restaurant Trade Fair (HostelCuba 2025) will be held from May 27th to 29th at Pabexpo in the capital, with the presence of nearly 60 national and international exhibitors linked to the sector.
In a press conference held this Wednesday at the International Press Center, organizers provided details of the event, which takes place every two years and is of great importance as it must contribute to improving tourism, one of the country's main sources of foreign currency.
Speaking at the conference, Rafael Rodríguez, director of Pabexpo, explained that representatives from companies that sell equipment, machinery, kitchenware, technology, and food suppliers, among others, will be present at this edition. For his part, Michel Zamora González, director of logistics for the Ministry of Tourism (Mintur), emphasized the importance of the exhibition, as it will allow participating foreign companies interested in the island's market to establish business with Cuban entities.
Likewise, Luis García Villar, head of the exhibition's organization, reported that so far, 57 companies from 10 countries (Canada, China, Spain, the United States, Italy, Mexico, Panama, Switzerland, Turkey, and Cuba) have confirmed their presence at the fair, of which 42 are foreign and 15 are domestic. Among these last five are MSMEs (micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises). This totals a contracted area of 2,800 square meters.
However, confirmation of approximately 10 more exhibitors is still awaited, bringing the exhibition area to a total of 3,500 square meters. In addition to the trade show, this trade event includes numerous activities, including conferences, new product presentations, business roundtables, and an investment forum to present and promote foreign investment opportunities in the sector.
HOSTELCUBA 2025 is sponsored by the Ministry of Tourism (MINTUR), the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Investment, the Cuban Chamber of Commerce, and the Palco Business Group.
