Guyana's President, Irfaan Ali, acknowledged that the presence of Cuban health workers is an essential part of the Caribbean health system.

The government of Guyana is today advancing a strategy aimed at maintaining strict control of its resources under the watchful eye of the International Monetary Fund (IMF).

Every February 23, Guyanese celebrate, because on that day in 1970 the country managed to become a Republic, to live in peace, prosperity and development. The British Chamber of Commerce of Guyana (BritCham) and the Iwokrama International Centre (IIC) signed an agreement with the aim of improving conservation efforts while promoting sustainable forest management in Guyana, which represents an important step in aligning business practices with environmental management.

The company Jet Global Services of Guyana announced starting its international operations as of July, 2025 which will allow connecting this Caribbean nation with Europe, North and South America. International airport Cheddi Jagan will become the epicenter of direct flights between the Guyanese capital and London in the United Kingdom, Rio de Janeiro in Brazil, Toronto in Canada and New York in the United States.

For Abel Stokes, a young Guyanese musician and singer, being born in a music-loving home was what drove him from a young age to dedicate himself to learning the art of singing and playing an instrument. This dedication has led him to become a prominent artist in his country. “I was inspired by my parents’ love of reggae music. My father wanted to be a singer but he didn’t achieve his dream, however my love for music is what made me pursue it.
