President Dr. Irfaan Ali, expressed his government's commitment to Guyanese living in England to make the country self-sufficient in food, infrastructure, healthcare, housing and energy by 2030.
According to a statement on his Facebook page, the Guyanese leader outlined the People's Progressive/Civic Party (PPP/C) administration's agenda to achieve those goals and detailed his government's plans for economic development and initiatives to develop local communities and municipalities.
On the other hand, he thanked the diaspora for their contribution to the country's development, which constitutes an important source of investment, experience, and ideas that could help boost the growth and development of the nation.
The Guyanese president visited the United Kingdom this week to attend the Coronation Ceremony of King Charles III and Queen Camilla at Westminster Abbey in London last Saturday.
During his stay in the British capital, the Head of State held several high-level bilateral exchanges with his counterparts from numerous countries on possible collaboration in various range of sectors.
