New measures in Cuba to combat Covid-19

The authorities of the Ministry of Public Health (MINSAP) of Cuba adopted a new measure to combat Covid-19 on the Island, which consists of distributing Prevengho-Vir, a homeopathic medicine that acts to prevent influenza, influenza and dengue and emerging viral infections.

The announcement was made during the customary daily press conference offered by Dr. Francisco Durán, national director of Hygiene and Epidemiology of MINSAP to update national and international info on that disease.

He added that Prevengho-Vir are drops that are applied under the tongue and their administration will be carried out in an organized manner to all the population.

This medicine, he clarified, is preventive and will be applied to the population that does not have symptoms or possible epidemiological causes of contagion.

Cuba has not lacked a strategy to preserve the population from contagion, including hygienic-sanitary measures, the temporary closure of study and recreation centers, the suspension or postponement of group activities, the ban on the entry of travelers from abroad and work at a distance, among many others.

So far, this terrible pandemic has infected around 1.2 million people in 180 countries and has killed more than 70,000.
